Commercial Carpentry and Timber Joinery Auckland: Your Questions Answered

If you are planning a commercial project and looking for specialist carpentry and timber joinery Auckland builders, you probably have a few questions before you get started. We have put the most common ones here, so architects, specifiers and project leads can see how Eurocraft works before getting in touch.

Eurocraft is a specialist builder with joinery skills. We look after the work from design through to on-site installation, so you deal with one team throughout. Jonathon Rowland has worked with wood for twenty years, and since 2015 our projects have included Tiffany Jewelers, Giraffe Restaurant, King’s College and the Auckland Museum.

If your question is not answered below, call or send us your drawings and programme dates and we will get back to you.

What commercial projects do you take on?

Eurocraft focuses on commercial work, including hospitality, retail, creative and public buildings. Recent projects include Tiffany Jewelers, Giraffe Restaurant, NZ Live Recording Studios, King’s College, Glen Innes Art Centre, the Northern Club and the Auckland Museum.

If you have a specialist item or a larger package of work, get in touch with the scope and timing and we will tell you straight away whether it suits.

Can I see recent work and talk to Architects, Specifiers, Engineers or Project Leads you have worked with?

Yes. We have been delivering carpentry and timber joinery around Auckland since 2015, including multiple award-winning projects.

We are happy to share photos of completed work and put you in touch with people we have worked with.

How do you manage a project from start to finish?

We keep it simple. It starts with a conversation about what you need, then a design and drawings agreed with you, followed by site measurements, making and on-site installation. You deal with one team throughout, so there is no chasing between a workshop and a site crew.

We agree the scope and timing up front, keep you updated as the job progresses, and raise anything unexpected early so it can be sorted before it affects your programme.

What are your lead times, and can you hold to our programme dates?

Lead times depend on the scope, the timber and the complexity of the design, so the best approach is to talk to us early. If we know your programme dates at quote stage, we can plan the work backwards from them and tell you honestly whether it is achievable.

The earlier joinery is confirmed, the less likely it is to hold up framing, cladding or finishing trades.

Can you work from our drawings and provide shop drawings for sign-off?

Yes. Working from architect and builder drawings is a normal part of the job. Where details are missing or need adjusting to suit a practical build, we will raise it early and suggest options.

Where it helps, drawings can be prepared for sign-off before anything is made, so everyone is clear on the final design and sizes.

What advantages does a specialist builder with joinery skills bring to my project?

Eurocraft brings the joinery skills into the building work itself, so the person designing and making the detail also understands how it has to be fitted into the structure.

In practice that means fewer handovers, clearer responsibility, details that work on site as well as on the drawing, and problems solved early rather than on installation day.

What does your quote include, and how do you handle variations?

Quotes are based on the drawings and specification supplied, and set out what is included so you can compare like with like. Anything outside that scope is treated as a variation.

If something changes, we price it and agree it with you before the work goes ahead, so there are no surprises at the end of the job.

How do you manage health and safety on site?

Eurocraft works on commercial and public projects where site safety is part of the job, and we are happy to complete your health and safety prequalification process.

Send us your requirements and we will provide the documentation you need before we start on site.

How will you coordinate with the other trades and keep us updated?

We plan the sequence with the builder and confirm sizes and site measurements before manufacture.

You will have a clear point of contact, and we keep you updated on progress and flag any issue as soon as we see it rather than leaving it until it affects the programme.

What is the standard of your workmanship, and where can I see it?

Our track record is the best answer. Over twenty years working with wood, and since 2015 through Eurocraft, the work has included multiple award-winning joinery and carpentry projects around Auckland.

You can see it in projects such as the Auckland Museum, the Northern Club, Giraffe Restaurant, Tiffany Jewelers and King’s College, which are places where finish and precision are noticed every day. We are happy to arrange a site visit or share photos of completed work.

The Principles We Build By

Eurocraft has grown almost entirely on referral and repeat business. That happens when the work is right, communication is honest, and the people you deal with genuinely care.

Craft over convenience

Every joint, every finish sealed to a standard that holds up ten years later.
No shortcuts that save time today and cost trust tomorrow.

Honest delivery

We quote clearly, communicate proactively,
and tell clients what we see on site.
Including things they might not want to hear.

Precision in every detail

Whether it is a fire-rated penetration or
a bespoke display cabinet, we apply the same standard to everything we touch

Built on repeat business.

“We do not win work by being the cheapest. We win it by being the team that does not need to be chased, does not leave surprises in the final invoice, and cares about the finished space as much as the client does.”

Jonny Rowland, Director
